The Greyhound Inn

Grizebeck, Kirkby-in-Furness, Cumbria

Welcome to The Greyhound Inn, Grizebeck

Traditional Values.....

The Greyhound is a 300 year old coaching inn situated in the hamlet of Grizebeck, between Kirkby-in Furness and Broughton-in-Furness, on the edge of the Lake District National Park

This corner of Cumbria is a truly beautiful part of the world, with stunning views of the Duddon estuary and Black Combe out front and the majestic Furness fells behind.

The Greyhound Inn is a traditional Lakeland pub with log fires, slate floors and old fashioned values of hospitality. The Greyhound is run by the community of Grizebeck with the intention of making the pub a welcoming, family friendly, place to be.

Good Food and Real Ale....

We love our beer and stock a range of real ales from local breweries such as Hawkshead, Ulverston, Ennerdale and Coniston.

We also love our food and serve great portions of home cooked food using locally sourced meat

If you would rather have a tea or coffee we are happy to oblige and won’t charge the earth

A Warm Welcome....

The Greyhound has provided accommodation for 300 years and the tradition continues - although now with comfortable cottage style en-suite rooms. Call for prices and availability.

We offer a welcome to all - we won’t make a fuss about kids playing on the Pool table (it’s free on Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends during the day), and are happy to accommodate well-behaved dogs.

So if you are looking for a warm welcome and comfortable Lake District accommodation to use as your base for a walking, cycling or motorcycling holiday then look no further than The Greyhound Inn.

We are open every day from 6pm and from 12 Noon at weekends
